A little scare.

Oh my goodness. Buzz and I just about had a collective heart attack this afternoon.

It all started when we went into the backyard to enjoy the sunshine.

Buzz ran around for a bit and then I told him to get his ball so we could play.
Well, he ran around and around not listening, so I started singing to him, “Where is your ba-all? Where is your ba-all? Where is your ba-all?” And he just kept zooming around, ignoring me.

And then came over and he gave me this face… [reenactment!]

This is his sad, worried face. Uh-oh!
He had been running around looking for his ball and couldn’t find it!
And he seemed to think I, the all-knowing food lady, was teasing him! Oh, the guilt!

I thought that maybe he couldn’t find the ball because it is so...um..."camouflaged" these days.

I decided to look for it myself.
It was nowhere to be found!
Oh, tragedy!
[this photo isn't so much a reenactment as an mood impact imagination]

Did a wild animal make off with it?
[more mood impact imagination]

Maybe our neighbor Tucker did something? Tucker knows how to get in and out of my yard.

Or maybe my landlord confused it with garbage? Cleaned it up? Threw it out?

Despair!

Agony!

Then I remembered that I had been doing laundry that morning in the basement. While Buzz was in the backyard.

So...I ran over and opened the basement door. Buzz and I ran down the stairs together. And there it was! Buzz was so happy.

So freakin’ happy!

And me too!

Hey! I found your blog from TWAAW, and I just wanted to stop by and say that Buzz is super cute! His poor ball looks like it's seen better days.
